It’s happening, friends and ghouls! Announced via stream, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is official. Bringing back the writer from the original Bloodlines, and releasing Q1 2020 across PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Set in Seattle, the game’s focus is to recapture and recreate the feeling and style of the original game. Promises of major combat, expanded sandbox, and a huge amount of story and dialogue excite as well. The developers went into a new ability called Resonance, where feeding will endow you with emotional powers that can affect your vampiric abilities (think feeding on a sexual partner, vs. attacking a fearful stranger). There’s also Nebulation, which turns the player into a mist (similar to Alucard’s Fog Form from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night). Update: A first look at the Unsanctioned Edition has appeared, and it’s all very cool. Made up of mostly Bloodlines 1 stuff, we have a table based on the Sarcofogus (which was a major part of the main plot of BL1), and costumes that let you dress up as Smiling Jack and (!!!) Jeanette, the co-owner of The Asylum club (the location with the best music of all time).
