Gamestop, Open Roads, and Halloween Horror Nights have joined forces to bring a little cross promotion to Silent Hill Book of Memories. Gamestop PowerUP Rewards members will be eligible to win a trip to either the California or Florida Halloween Horror Nights show. Two VIP tickets for the show will be awarded to the winner of this promotion.
Even if you miss out on the grand prize, those who preorder will be put into a second contest for Silent Hill Revelation 3D. The winner of this secondary prize will have a movie theater rented out for them and 15 friends, for a private showing of the upcoming film. Again, this promotion is for PowerUp Rewards members only. The promotion ends October 15th.
With Book of Memories getting a demo and now a contest, it seems like Konami is finally marketing a Silent Hill title. And it’s working. I’ve seen a ton of positive comments and previews for the game all because the demo convinced them that it’s worth trying out. A little goes a long way. Keep it up and give me my Downpour patch (which is said to be coming soon), and be sure to announce it prior to release.
