When I think about atmosphere in video games, a number of titles come to mind. Chief among them is certainly BioShock. Rapture has become as special a setting to me as Resident Evil’s mansion, or Dead Space’s Ishimura. And I’m also a sucker for underwater settings, so there’s that, too.
BioShock is one of the best games to come out of the last generation (going on to spawn a sequel and the also excellent BioShock Infinite), and now it may be landing on those very platforms again, and current-gen ones. BioShock: The Collection has been listed on the Brazilian ratings board, listing it for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. As expected, the collection would include BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite.
I’m totally down for this. It’s been a while since I’ve replayed the original game, and I would love to do so with shinier graphics.
