A leaked image from BioShock 4 has appeared online, showcasing early development stages of the much-anticipated game. The image was shared by gaming new site MP1ST, originating from a work reel of a 2K visual effects artist. This image provides a sneak peek into the game’s user interface.
The image is labeled with the codename ‘Parkside,’ a name that journalist Colin Moriarty mentioned in 2021 when he revealed potential details about the new BioShock game, including its setting. Since 2K announced the new BioShock game in December 2019, information has been scarce. The game is being developed by Cloud Chamber, a studio set up by 2K in San Francisco and Montréal.
Cloud Chamber’s team boasts several BioShock veterans, including design director Jonathan Pelling and creative director Hoagy de la Plante. Pelling contributed to the original game and was creative director at 2K Australia for BioShock Infinite. De la Plante worked on the original BioShock in various roles.
Ken Levine, the original director of BioShock, is not involved in this project. He is currently working on Judas with Ghost Story Games, a studio he founded after the closure of Irrational Games.
We will keep you posted as soon as we find out more concrete details on the as yet untitled Bioshock 4.
