The PlayStation Blog has announced that a Beyond: Two Souls demo will release on October 1st on PlayStation Network. The first part of the demo will show Jodie’s time at the Department of Paranormal Activities when she was a just a child, as scientists test her abilities to communicate with the aparatition Aiden. The demo’s second portion will take place years later as Jodie is being hunted by government agents, presumably because of her destructive potential. Early access to the demo will be possible but details have yet to be given by PlayStation. I can’t be sure if the second portion of the demo is what Kyle got to play at PAX, but you should check out his preview anyway; he had some disappointing things to say about the game’s controls.
Along with this demo announcement comes another entry in the Beyond Making-Of video series. This particular episode encompasses set design, the many looks and designs of Jodie, and the process behind capturing the likeness of actors Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe. With all of the work behind making Beyond look and feel like a grand, powerful story, I damn well hope it is.
