A proper release date of Mundfish’s Atomic Heart should be just around the corner, and fortunately, we got a new cinematic trailer to tide us over in the meantime. The new trailer focuses more on showcasing a bit about the game’s world in a more natural state, as opposed to the prior promotional material focusing on the gameplay/horror. In it, we get a few details about our protagonist, as well as a window into the science team’s rationale leading up to the epidemic the characters find themselves in now.
For the unfamiliar, Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter/survival horror set in an alternate universe during the reign of the Soviet Union. The player character, special agent P-3, is sent to a government facility after they had gone radio silent, only to discover a series of experiments gone wrong. The game clearly has some production value behind it, and the gameplay is shaping to look like a fun singleplayer FPS, a genre I can always appreciate.
Atomic Heart is set to release at some point in 2019 and is coming to Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Be sure to check out the game’s store page here and the newest trailer below.
