Atomic Hearts’ NVIDIA RTX Support Makes for Terrifyingly Realistic Visuals

The latest game on NVIDIA’s list to take advantage of their RTX-series graphics cards is Atomic Hearts, the alt-universe FPS that combines a BioShock-like setup with some absolutely fantastic Soviet-era surrealism.

NVIDIA has released a new environmental showcase video for Atomic Hearts that shows off some interior environments and the capabilities of their Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion and Reflections tech. If realistic lighting, refraction, and effects don’t interest you, just stick around for a look at some creepy imagery.

Atomic Hearts is set for release in 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Same as with Metro Exodus, you’ll have to splurge for NVIDIA’s 20-series GPUs to get the best image possible. If they keep adding horror games to their list, I just might be tempted.
