Amazon Seemingly Delays All Zero Time Dilemma Orders (Update 2)

Many of you may be anxious to face Zero’s latest round of challenges, but sadly Amazon is not. Presumably due to the damaged and returned shipment of Zero Time Dilemma Special Edition watches, Amazon has delayed all orders for the game. This is odd given that A) The standard version was unaffected by the incident yet is listed as shipping “within 2 to 4 weeks” and B) Special Edition buyers were still promised their game on time, just a delay on the watch (with added complementary bonus). Amazon isn’t moving forward yet, though.

Amazon allegedly has the necessary stock to fulfil orders, according to publisher Aksys Games. “Amazon has your games,” tweeted Aksys Games. “Other than that, no other updates. Whether or not they send them out on time is up to them, and they aren’t saying.”

Neither the publisher or retailer have issued an update since last night, but suffice to say, it’s out of Aksys’ hands now; whether or not Amazon will correct the delay soon is unknown, but given the nature of the game’s strong narrative, fans are probably very worried that they will be spoiled by the time their copies arrive.

Sure, patience is a virtue, but this seems like a dilemma that could have been avoided. Hopefully we’ll hear something soon. Also feel free to read our review while you wait for your copy.

Update: Aksys Games’ Senior Sales & Marketing Manager Dan Halen posted a few tweets to fans who purchased through Amazon, reassuring them that progress is being made. Keep an eye on his and Aksys’ main account for updates.

Update 2: I have personally received an email from Amazon saying to expect my standard edition version of the game on Friday, July 1st. The wait may be annoying, but thankfully it’s only a few days and not 2 weeks.
