Amazon Luna Launch Lineup Includes RE7, Plague Tale, and More

As we look forward to the new console generation, so to are we standing on the brink of maybe kinda sorta the ‘Cloud generation’. Announced today, Amazon’s Luna promises to be everything Google Stadia was but this time good, and they’ve already announced a massive lineup of day one titles for the service. Spanning the gauntlet between action, adventure, shooter, and most importantly horror, it’s looking like Luna is at the very least trying to beat the competition with all its got. While no concrete list of games has been revealed, we can see quite a few on Luna’s home page on Amazon as part of the backdrop as well as a smaller range of titles below that. The big ones for us are:

  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • Control
  • A Plague Tale: Innocence
  • Blasphemous
  • Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
  • Metro: Exodus

It’s a pretty nice starter horror list from the last few years, and it’s interesting to note that several of these titles haven’t released on Stadia, Luna’s direct competition — most notably Resident Evil 7 (considering that Capcom was amongst a list of launch partners for that platform). Worth noting that it also just joined Xbox Game Pass, another game service (although that’s a download service, not streaming) I have no high hopes for this attempt at the concept, as the general consensus for game streaming continues to be that its spotty at best. Perhaps all the money in the world will help make a difference here, but we’ll find out, I suppose.

In the meantime, you can request early access. We’ll see if we can give it a shot, and get back to you on how some of these titles play.
