It was previously thought that the Wii U version for Aliens: Colonial Marines was cancelled, but that is not the case according to Sega UK.
Saying that Colonial Marines got heavily criticized upon release would be an understatement; the game is been pounded into the dirt by critics and consumers alike as we speak. Combined with the fact that Amazon removed the game from their listing, some thought that the port was killed. However, In a recent interview with Eurogamer, an unknown Sega UK representative stated that: “It’s not true, We haven’t announced the release date for it yet but that’s it.”
The game was originally meant to be released within the Wii U’s launch window that ends in March, but it’s unlikely that it will release anytime soon. For now the game is unofficially considered to be postponed indefinitely.
I wonder if there is any interest left for a port if it were ever to be released, but if they put some good work into polishing this game, then maybe something good will eventually come out of it.
