JBoc924Remember all that rumbling months ago, around E3 time, about a new Alan Wake game being in production (that wasn’t a sequel)? Yeah, well, it’s finally come to fruition. No official name has been set for this new release, but Alan Wake will be returning through XBLA at an undisclosed date.
This has just been revealed via the original game’s official Facebook page. The page also says that an official reveal is coming sooner rather than later, with the first screenshot of the game being released this coming Monday thanks to Gameinformer, and a bigger reveal (most likely a trailer) planned for this year’s VGAs, taking place on December 10th. Are you excited to pick up the flashlight once again? Hell, for all we know we may actually be able to do just that thanks to Kinect! (I hope not.)
Update: The folks over at XBLAFans have landed an image of what surely looks like the title screen. Story mode, arcade action, collectibles, Achievements and leaderboards, plus an unlock to a full game? Looks like not only are we going to get a new Alan Wake game, but a demo as well.
