Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed to release on August 12 (Update: Also coming to PS4)

Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed is stripping shipping to stores soon as XSEED Games has today announced the game’s release date to be August 12. Amature vampire hunters will be able to strip the clothes off of incognito vampires on both the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of this localization of Akiba’s Trip 2, in the series’ debut outside of Japan.

Akiba’s Trip was also recently announced to be headed to Europe in the fall, but a firm release date has not been announced at this time.

Update: In a weird turn of events, it seems like North America will also be getting Akiba’s Trip on the PlayStation 4. Previously Japan exclusive, the PS4 version of Akiba’s Trip 2 will be making its way to PlayStation 4 as well, according to XSEED’s follow up tweet to their release date announcement.

Just so that you’re not confused, Akiba’s Trip 2 is Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed. The game received a name change for its release outside of Japan, and I guess we can look forward to its release on three PlayStation platforms. Further details on the PS4 version will be announced later, but its set to arrive in the holiday season both digitally and at retail.
