The first-person horror title Agony may be set in a familiar fiery location known to videogames, but I don’t think it’s ever been done this … horrifying.
The latest gameplay trailer for Agony shows off some areas within its setting Hell, and man is it gross. We’re given a look at a room adorned in bones, blood and moaning souls. As the protagonist proceeds, he or she is faced with a hallway lined in teeth. I actually let out a “what the fuck?” while watching this trailer.
The game is visually stunning. Its level and creature design are striking (barring some excessive breast physics). Everything is just so nightmarish. DOOM, eat your heart out. Hell hasn’t ever looked this good.
Agony is slated for a 2017 release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
