It’s 2032 – 20 years after the end of World War III. Humans have fled the surface to find safety in bunkers, mines and huge cities below ground. That might sound a little familiar, but familiarity isn’t always a bad thing, eh?
Afterfall: Insanity is a survival-horror shooter from Nicolas Games headed to the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime next year. Afterfall uses the Unreal 3 engine and puts the player in control of the psychologist Adam. Adam is part of a series of scientists in charge of monitoring fugitives mental stability. What’s the worst part about fleeing the surface? Being stuck underground with a bunch of maniacs. Forever.
The player will fight mutants and hostile war victims in the dreary ruins of once beautiful cities in the refuges below former European metropolises to discover a horrible truth. Dark? Check! Claustrophobic? Check! Let’s keep Afterfall: Insanity on the radar.
