Adam Sessler’s extensive look at Tango Gameworks’ The Evil Within continues today with three new videos that discuss the game’s inspirations, audio design, and visual design, respectively. Director Shinji Mikami once again sits with Adam Sessler and divulges all of the details he can about the game’s many facets of development, including Mikami’s longtime passion for scary things.
Adam then speaks with Shuichi Kobori and Ippei Shiraki to learn about the game’s audio, which includes many samples of wet, crunchy, and gooey sounds. Lastly, The Evil Within Art Director, Naoki Katakai, talks about the game’s visual design, whether it be how enemies have changed over the course of development or designing the scariest environments.
Bethesda is cranking out a lot of material on The Evil Within as its October 14, 2014 release draws near. As before, new footage will be found within these videos, and if you’re like me, you might want to avoid them. I want to be completely surprised when I play this game. But that’s just me. Go watch them if you want to learn more about the game’s development!
