A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead to Feature Real-Time Noise Detection from Microphone

The upcoming survival horror game, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, will introduce a unique feature: real-time noise detection through your microphone. Set in the terrifying world where silence is survival, players must stay as quiet in real life as they do in the game. Every cough, sneeze, or movement around you could attract the deadly aliens lurking in the shadows.

Moreover, players can activate this feature from the settings menu. The game allows you to calibrate your microphone to detect real-life sounds that can trigger the alien creatures, known as “Angels of Death.” The developers warn that any real-world noise, even someone entering your room, could lead to in-game death.

Inspired by films like Amnesia and Alien: Isolation, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead follows the story of Alex Taylor, a college student struggling to survive in a world overrun by sound-sensitive monsters. Alongside her boyfriend, Martin, Alex embarks on a harrowing journey to find safety. The game’s developers aim to capture the same heart-pounding fear and intense atmosphere that made the original A Quiet Place films famous.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will launch on October 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
