Techland has announced today that Dying Light is a success. Claiming top spots in sales charts in several countries and amassing 3.2 million players, Techland has stated that Dying Light is “the most popular title in the company’s history.” To go along with this announcement, Techland has put together an info-graphic detailing the milestones that the game’s player population have achieved.
Nearly 400,000,000 zombies have been killed; $1.25 trillion dollars collected; and players have collectively fallen the span of 7 years. Additional information is available on the graphic below, in case you’re really curious.
In our review we gave Dying Light a 7.5/10 and said “Dying Light harbors brilliant ideas wrapped up in the bloated, rotting corpse that is indicative of AAA focus-testing … The bones are intact, and with a bit of focused necromancy, we could have a great series of games here.” I’ve recently completed the game myself, and I like it quite a bit. Techland’s commitment to continue to support the game with free content and updates is pretty swell, too.
