It’s been long known that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow would be further supported by future DLC. This DLC was stated to serve as an expansion of the main story. We even got a tease as to what to expect when Dave Cox tweeted that we’d be going back to Carmilla’s castle to meet up with Laura once again. Now, we have confirmation of 2 DLC packs coming early next year, as well as titles and some details for them.
The first piece of DLC will be titled: “Reverie”, and that’ll be the one that sees Gabriel going back to the castle to aid Laura in battling the evil that was unleashed upon the death of Carmilla. This of course means that there’s going to be hordes of enemies waiting for you at the castle, and it might just make all those naysayers happy with the game.
The next piece of DLC is tilled: “Resurrection”. This pack is said to be bigger when compared to “Reverie”, a battle with a “very notorious enemy” is also promised. This is also said to follow directly on the game’s ending and it’ll serve to create a better understanding of the amazing epilogue. And of course, the “notorious enemy” may actually be referring to Death.
I’ve already clocked 76 hours into this game, throughout 8 playthroughs. Looks like that number will be increasing come early next year.
