JBoc924Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D has been out for a few days now and after many reviews (including our own) it seems like the overall reception has been mixed at best. From the whole saved game scenario to the general belief that there’s just not enough content here to warrant the price tag. Regardless, the game is truly a fun experience and going back to your favorite missions to try to best your high scores is a blast. So, for today’s installment of reHorror I’m interested to know just who your favorite character in the game is.
My favorite character has to be the sexy Jill Valentine (surprised?). Sure her face did take a hit in this game, as well as in Revelations, but hey she’s still the same STARS veteran. She comes equipped with a machine gun, shotgun and a trusty knife. Now, that’s a solid load-out but I was quite irked that she lacked a handgun. As many of the people I’ve played Resident Evil 5’s Mercs mode with can tell you, I’m a beast with the handgun. So, yeah, I was a little bothered by the lack of that weapon in her arsenal.
One of the best things about Jill’s moveset, in my opinion, is here melee attacks. From her hard-hitting knee drops to her downright brutal head grab, Jill is quite a powerhouse. The majority of my time with the game has been with her, going through a good chunk of the missions and replaying my favorite ones, especially mission 4-5. So, who’s your favorite character to use in Mercs 3D?
