This weekend I will be checking out Flying Wild Hog’s Shadow Warrior reboot. The folks over at Devolver Digital sent over a preview code that I have yet to touch, so this weekend’s Survival Sunday will be a blind playthrough of this interesting and goofy demon shoot-em-up.
Shadow Warrior is a reboot of the 1997 DOOM-esque shooter featuring the somewhat offensively named assassin Lo Wang. In the reboot, Lo Wang works for a corporation that tasks him with retrieving the legendary sword Nobitsura Kage. It isn’t long until Lo Wang unleashes an army of ancient spirits and demons. Using guns, blades, and magic, Lo Wang has to stop a demonic uprising. I don’t expect the game to be serious at all, but that could be very fun.
