It’s common knowledge that you shouldn’t trust everything you read on the internet, but sometimes you might be tricked anyway because the liar included a lot of details and a nice story about how he found out about the information he is spreading. That is what a user on our forum called “HelloBio7” must have attempted, but nobody believes him.
The user in question, who made an account just to create this topic, posted on Hell Descent about a new installment in the popular Biohazard franchise. He heard this story from a “friend” whom worked at Capcom as a programmer and got to play a demo for the game after attending a presentation. The story explains everything about the demo in great detail, including every set-piece, enemy and character that appears in it.
Funny enough, the Resident Evil 6 snow-themed leak also came from our forum, complete with video and images. At the time, a whole bunch of sites fell for it and the alleged creator of that false leak reached out to CJ and revealed his identity. So, you can see why we’re not officially reporting on this “leak” even though it’s quite in-depth – but most likely fake fake fake.
I am not personally interested in the Biohazard franchise, but I do know a lot of our other writers and most of our readers, so consider this a small PSA of sorts. If you want to read this guy’s design document for his upcoming fan-fiction story, though, then you can head on over to Hell Descent right now and take a peek.
