Remember that scene in The Walking Dead where Daryl comes out of the forest with a couple severed ears on his chest? Spoiler alert, it was kind of gross and almost got him killed. If you pre-order The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct from Gamestop, you can have the same awkward conversation about why you have a severed ear. Spoiler alert: that explanation never occurred in the show. Why would he have a severed ear? For death smell? There are like a million different ways you could get that…This particular severed ear is a keychain.
Sadly, Gamestop hasn’t issued a picture of what this severed ear keychain will look like, so we can’t quite prepare ourselves for how awkward that conversation is going to be.
Also available to those who pre-order the game is the Herd mode, which is, in its simplest form, Horde mode. You kill waves of walkers and more of them take the place of their fallen undead brethren.
Still up for pre-ordering a game you haven’t seen actual, current, release candidate worthy footage of yet? At this point, it’s unclear if Horde–err, Herd mode will be available to everyone or if it is pre-order exclusive. As always, we’ll let you know when we find out for sure.
